Glass Fusing is simply the process of stacking two or more layers of compatible glass together to make a design, then placing the stacked glass into your kiln, where it melts together.
Step 1: Assembly-
First, you pick out a blank surface to start your glass creation. Next, you add components from the Glass Fusing Center and glue your design in place. No experience needed! * No glass cutting necessary! **
Step 2: Flat Firing-
When you have finished your piece, we will fire it to approximately 1475 degrees. Then your project is complete as a tile, trivet, suncatcher, coaster, or decorative art.
Step 3: Slumping (Optional)-
If you choose, your glass piece can be placed on a special mold and fired again...heated just to its softening point (about 1235º F), causing it to sag over or into the mold. Now you have a 3-D piece, such as a bowl, tray, platter, or vase!
